During this trip, the Friends removed native creepers from saplings being smothered in clearings created by trees fallen over following the 2019 drought.

Following a wet week on the Island, when the Friends group flew into the Island on Saturday the sun was shining and it promised to be a good week of weather ahead.

This was another great weeding trip, with 22 people along for the week, of which more than half were new to the Friends weeding weeks.

Despite the wild weather start, the May 2022 weeding ecotour was a great week, and 262 hours volunteer labour were contributed.
